Ephesians 1:1-10
Make no mistake. Testimonies can really say something. We don't need to argue or defend God. But we do need to speak about what God has done in our lives and what we believe to be true.
James 1:19-27
Learning is not primary... becoming is.
Sometimes, I find myself in information/research mode. It's all about learning more and figuring things out. And I've found myself doing that in terms of dealing with God and in ministry. But none of it gets applied in my life. It just gets discovered, noted in some journal and promptly shelved to collect dust for the next couple of eons. We get an ah-ha moment and then... nothing. We live our lives as if that ah-ha had never happened. Why? That's simple. Changing our lifestyles are hard. We'd much rather have an instant fix. Snap our fingers and it's done. God's plan for us are quite different. And for those who profess Him to be both Lord and Savior, all these things we learn should impact our lives... because this is what it means to follow after Christ. May we become each day, more like Him who saves and commands us.
