Why are we surprised by how sinful people are?
We've forgotten the cross. The ugly depths of sin raised for all to see.
Yet when we who believe look upon this bloodied, battered, dying man... we see hope.
An empty tomb. A group of scared people, transformed into willing and bold martyrs.
We think we're ok. The cross says and continues to say otherwise.
Sinners bought at a severe price transforming into a people glorious.
What a gracious and loving God we have.
